After a very long and tiring journey we managed to get Salonica,
It's the second biggest city of Greece. but it seemed to me very calm city, i mean it was not like a big city, you can breathe there for sure :)
i don't know İzmir very much, but from what i remember, it is very alike with it.
There is a very nice seaside surrounded by beautiful cafes where it was impossible to find a free place as it was on sunday. The cafe culture in Greece is just amazing, there are cafes at every suitable place. and Greek people do like a lot to chill out there. sometimes i thought if there are people who work in this lovely city :)
when we got Selanik, it was almost evening and we were very tired, Our dear friend welcomed us at the station, and took us to the his house, Ewa and me were given a room and Safakis got his own room..After having dinner, me and Ewa wanted to sleep, while i was sleeping deeply i heard a noise, but i just couldn't notice what was exactly happening, it was Ewa's voice, saying something but i was kind of unconcious, after a while i heard something from the next room like crying, but i thought i was having dream or something! in the morning, everything was clear, my friend Ewa had fallen out of the bed and hurt her arm, and safakis had been having a nightmare, woow what a terrible evening it was, but we were laughing Ewa's situation :) while she was accused of me about kicking her out! our first night was the sign that our trip would have some surprises :)
after the great breakfast that yorgo prepared for us, we went to the city center where there is a great castle named leukos pirgos (white castle). it is also the symbol of the city..we were quite lucky that it was just like summer, however as i mentioned before, as it was on sunday, the cafes near the seaside was full and we went to the shopping center to find a silent cafe..
